I’ve been a proud member of the Kin Club of Florenceville since April 2018. After my children had grown up, I was looking for a way to get more involved in my community, meet new people, and give back in a meaningful way. Joining Kin has given me all of that and so much more.

My connection to Kin actually started years before I became a member. My former husband was involved with what was then the Kinsmen/Kinette Club of Florenceville, but with two young children at home, my focus was on raising my family. Even then, I saw the positive impact Kin had on our community. Today, it’s especially meaningful that both of my children have been, or continue to be, involved in our club as well.

Since becoming a member, I’ve had the privilege of serving as both Secretary and President of the Kin Club of Florenceville. These roles have helped me grow in confidence, develop lasting friendships, and work alongside some truly dedicated people who share a passion for helping others.

With the encouragement and support of fellow Kin members and friends from another club, I took on the role of Deputy Governor for District 7 Zone A. They had more confidence in me than I had in myself. Or, as I like to say, they gave me a little shove off a cliff!

When I’m not volunteering, you’ll find me reading, knitting, crocheting, or spending time with my family.
