Deputy Governor – Zone F
Cory Sheppard

I joined the Kinsmen Club of Corner Brook in the fall of 2020 because I wanted to become more involved in my community and meet even more people than I already knew. Although, as my daughter Addison would say, “Everyone already knows Dad!” My wife of 21 years, Natasha, will tell you that I’ve always been a social butterfly and someone who enjoys helping wherever I can. Being part of an organization dedicated to Serving the Community’s Greatest Needs has given me the perfect opportunity to combine fellowship, friendship, and compassion with a passion for helping others.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to see the impact our club makes, whether it is to sponsor local sports teams, support our Food Bank, and being apart of our community events such as our annual Antique Car Show and Seniors Christmas Dance. Seeing the smiles and knowing that our efforts make a difference is one of the most rewarding parts of being a Kinsman.
Since joining, I’ve served three consecutive years as Club Secretary, including one year where I also served as Vice President, followed by two years as Club President. These leadership roles have helped me grow personally and professionally, especially by building my confidence in public speaking—something that is definitely a different challenge than talking one-on-one!
I’m honoured to have been nominated and to accept the role of Deputy Governor for our Zone. I look forward to continuing to learn more about our Association, while working alongside an incredible team of dedicated volunteers throughout our District and helping our clubs succeed.
When I’m not wearing the Kin colours and representing my club, you’ll usually find me at the toe line—either playing darts, running a tournament, or having a chat with just about anyone.
