Food For Families was alive again on February 27th. A great day of volunteering with the “2888 Bridgewater Kinsmen Army Cadets”, parents, volunteers and businesses who helped to make this year another successful year, assisting 80 famlies. Since the inception in 1995 this very iimportant project has assisted 2,900 families in need of groceries. It has been with tremendous support from the community that our accumulated $63,000.00 in budgeted funds has turned over in excess of $240,000.00 in essential foods for families in our community. This project has helped well over 6,400 people in areas such as: Bridgewater, New Germany, Mahone Bay, Chester, Lunenburg, Riverport and beyond.
