Recruitment Planning Starts Now

Posted By on April 6, 2016

September / early October seems to be a popular time for future members to look for a volunteer organization to get involved with.  A major problem is that a lot of organizations also start planning their recruitment activities in September.  This is a major mistake.  A lot work needs to be completed by the mid June.  Think of recruitment as being the process of many small projects.  These small projects include: understanding the future human resources of the club, what benefits can you offer a potential member, develop a profile of a potential member (skills desired, lifestyle, networks, compatibility with present membership), where do you find these members, rework your website (think of your website as being your dynamic brochure), brochures, organize a volunteer fair with other like minded organizations, and the list goes on.  If you are looking to charter a Kin Campus Club, discuss the benefits of Kin with the college / university administration.  This is a very important point a lot of people miss.
