On Saturday, July 16, 2016, the St. John’s East Kinsmen Club in partnership with Princess Auto held a very successful and profitable Car Show and Family Fun Day Fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis at the parking lot of Princess Auto on Stavanger Drive, in St. John’s, NL.  The Registration Fee to enter a car in the show was “A Gift FromThe Heart”, and admission to the event for the general public was free. Activities for the children included visits and picture opportunities with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a Fish Pond, Face Painting, and Bouncy Castle.  For the “Big Boys” there was the Car Show with 78 cars registered, a Pit Crew Challenge, Prizes and Discount Vouchers, and the ever popular Dunk Tank where everyone had the opportunity to “dunk” one of their favorite radio personalities, Becca Chaytor, from K-ROCK and one of their favorite TV News personalities, Ryan Harding, of NTV Evening News, among other Princess Auto Staff and Kinsmen Volunteers.  The Kinsmen hosted a BBQ with Moose Burgers, Hamburgers, Moose Sausages, Hotdogs, Cold Drinks, Cupcakes and Bags of Chips.  There was a great turn out for the event with great comments from the many participants and general public and with a grand total just shy of $4000 raised for CF.  The St. John’s East Kinsmen Club and Princess Auto look forward to doing this again next year and hope to make it an annual event.
