Atlantic Tides – Miramichi Kinsmen Year End Celebrations
On Friday, June 22nd, the Miramichi Kinsmen held their closing party.
At the end of every year we invite our spouses and K-40 members to our year end celebration.
This past year we were proud to have given over $70,000 to the community along with over 1650 volunteer hours!
None of that would be possible without the great support of our community here in Miramichi, thanks to you folks for supporting all of our events and weekly bingo!
In October 2017, the Kinsmen of the Miramichi tragically lost one of our members, Dan Bradford. A loss that was felt throughout our community and entire association as Dan was an active member at the Club, District and National level. Along with sponsoring an award in his honour at the District level, we had 2 personalized jerseys framed. Members presented one of these framed jerseys to Dan’s spouse, Dana Quann, who was in attendance at the event along with other members of the family. The other will be going up in our clubhouse.
We also presented our annual Club awards. These are just some of the members who make our club the successful organization it is. Congratulations to all recipients!
Rookie of the Year: Brendan Manderson
Awarded to a new Kinsmen who best exemplifies the fellowship and service aspects of the Association.
Kinitiative Award: Ian Gerrish
Awarded to the Kinsmen who has shown a resurgence of commitment to the club.
Ken MacDonald Memorial Kinsmen of the Year: Steve Myles
Awarded to Kinsmen who best exemplifies the aims of the association and participates in all aspects of the club and the Association.
It is because of the great support we receive that we are able to continue to “Serve the Commmunity’s greatest need.” Thank you Miramichi!
