Grant L. FerronThe Link18h · Did You Know # 2 – We have an Operation’s Road MapIn the last while I have heard several comments themed along the lines that we don’t have a plan for the future. Some might be surprised to find out that we do in fact work from a plan better known as our Road Map and it has been around since 2016 and a lot of fantastic and inspired work has gone into its execution by your fellow Kin and the staff at HQ.Stemming from the work the National Board of Directors did in 2014 and the creation of strategic directives, the role of the HQ Staff and operations Committees was the development of the Road Map. The Road Map is a living document that outlines the activities that will breathe life into the strategic directives.Much of what we do is driven by the data we have collected or that that exists inside and outside the Association. Surveys, committee research, industry trends, membership stats and feedback all contributed to the Road Map and continued to feed into what is always referred to as a living document. We haven’t kept the Road Map secret as we have provided annual updates and progress reports to the membership. The last report we did was publish in the summer of 2019 and can be found: ikin>Teams>Archived Meetings and Meeting Minutes>2019>Annual General Meeting and Statistics. We have always been open to constructive feedback to make the Road Map better but regrettably we really don’t receive much in terms of specifics to our strategies and road maps. But I have higher hopes for our next version that is being drafted as I write this.Last year the NBOD finalized the strategic directions and handed them off to me to operationalize. Lindsay King has been tasked with the creation of our next Road Map and over 1200 survey respondents contributed insights, ideas and data that I think make this truly a member driven Road Map.My hope doesn’t end with the delivery of a document, but for your continued input and participation as we roll out the various activities that brighten our future. I am excited by what I have seen so far and I confident you will be to.More to come on this in the spring. ...

My fellow Kin across this great Country, I am asking for a minute of your time to help brighten the day of an incredible man, Life Member, a Hal Rogers Fellow and creator/Artist of Portraits of Honour. Good Kin Dave Sopha. As many of you may or may not know Kin Dave has been in a very serious battle against Cancer and WE need to lift his spirits, show our support and say thank you for all he has done for this Association to make his 73rd birthday memorable. His daughter Terri had asked for us, his brothers and sisters in Kin to record a 30 sec VIDEO wishing him a Happy 73rd birthday. To date she has received ZERO response from Kin and she has asked for my help. We are better than that !! WAY BETTER ! Please take a moment to put a smile on one of our own Send your birthday wish video BEFORE THURSDAY to.... tspoha@live.caThank YouLM Kin Dan StrugarPast D1 Governor ...
