Recently, Ms. Duplessie’s Grade 6 Humanities class teamed up with the Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi for the Kiva program, which is a way for people to provide micro-loans to people in third world countries , refugees and others that wouldn’t qualify for loans to start small business ventures. The students picked several individuals they wanted to help and funded them. Kin Anthony Gray, who is also an educational assistant at Dr. Losier Middle School and works with this class where the students gave away approximately $400 dollars chaired the project. The future is bright with big hearts like these! Thank you too all who were involved!
