Good Morning Fellow Kin,Well Spring Zones are in the books. I had the opportunity to attend 3 of the 4 spring zones. Unfortunately 2 spring zones were at the same time.So now it is time to start talking about District Convention 2025 hosted by the Bible Hill Kinsmen 5- 8 Jun 2025 at Inn on Prince, Truro Nova Scotia. Official call has been sent out and club presidents have it by now. If you haven't seen it, all the info is at district7kin.ca/district-convention/The purpose of my post today is to talk about awards - and one award in particular - The Dan Bradford Memorial District 7 Kin Of The Year Award.For those that knew Dan, will agree that he embraced everything about Kin. He loved this association which was evident by his continuing volunteering, chairing events, and willing to mentor new members. You just needed to have a 5 min conversation with Dan to understand his love for Kin.This award is to recognize one member of our district who embodies volunteerism through their contribution of leadership, inspiration and dedication. All member's of District 7 in good standing are eligible. The application form can be found in the District Awards Brochure which is located on the D7 website under "District Documents" in the "Quick Links" area. If you can't find it reach out to the Awards Chair - Peggy Hefler or myself and we would be glad to help.Applications must be submitted to the Awards Chair - Peggy Hefler 30 days prior to convention - 5th of May. So there is still plenty of time to get it submitted. But time is closing quicklyThere was no submission last year for this award which was disappointing. I know there are members within the district who are deserving of this prestigious award.
