I have been an active volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada, just completed a two year term on the Board of Directors for The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce and actively step up to volunteer in other community events such as CIBC Run for the Cure and Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival.
More importantly, I am a mother of two incredible Kin Kids, Jack (12) and Sara (9) and married to a wonderful Kinsmen, Jason Andrews. I am a proud Kin Kid, parents are Life Member Carl Croucher of Fredericton Kinsmen and my mom was also a Kinette. I was a Kin Kid in Bathurst, NB, Conception Bay South, NL and Fredericton, NB.
My goal for our District is simple… Invest in D7. There are a multitude of resources available to our clubs, but they aren’t being taken advantage of. How to Clubs get access, you ask?? Its simple… Ask for it! We have provided the most basic of tools that will help each club determine what it is that they need… the Club Health Assessment. This tool, developed in D7 and is now being used nationally, has been instrumental in bringing club member awareness of issues they didn’t even know existed. So I ask of you, please complete the assessment, and once you identify what you need, ASK!
When we invest in ourselves, we will always see positive results! Could be new projects, better run meetings, membership growth, resolving club conflict… anything! Invest in ourselves and we’ll start to foster growth, members start to feel more pride about their club and start inviting friends to meetings again… Invest in D7 and soon everyone will be as proud of D7 as I am!
Yours in Kin,
