FREDERICTON SANTA CLAUS PARADE – NOVEMBER 30, 2024

Fredericton’s annual Santa Claus Parade will be taking place on November 30, 2024 on the northside and it is going to be our 50th year in holding this parade. The Parade will form on Devonshire Drive and proceed left onto Union Street westerly towards Main Street and continuing along Main Street until it reaches Johnson Avenue where presently it is planned for the parade to disembark. Dinner in support of Women in Transition House taking place at our Centre on October 9, 2024 – tickets are $150.00 each which gets you a steak dinner with lobster tail and a show, Tristan Horncastle will be performing. We finalized a number of donations tonight – $5,000 to Oromocto High School Safe Grad, FHS was in to pick up their $5,000 donation to their Safe Grad, $500 to Big Brothers-Big Sisters and $1,500 to U15 Girls Softball .

We heard Safe Grads this year were in trouble as due to the impact of the pandemic fundraising was aty an all time low. Thanks to the money raised through our Kin Radio Bingo we were pleased to be able to make a $5,000 donation to Fredericton High School, Leo Hayes High School and one other school to be named so that the kids can finally enjoy safe grad again. The annual MS Walk will be taking place at our centre located at 141 School Street on Sunday, May 29, 2022 – registration starts at 9:30 am. All funds raised go towards MS Research. The late John Sears, Life Member of our club was instrumental in getting Kin involved with the MS Society.

It is with regret that we must announce that due to the current Covid 19 situation we will not be able to hold our annual CF Bingo on November 11th which is an in person bingo. Ordinarily the proceeds from this bingo are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We will, however, still be making a donation matching past donations garnered from funds raised from CF Bingo

Santa Claus will be coming to town – Fredericton’s 2021 Santa Claus Parade is a go. Parade will be on the southside this year – forming on St. Anne’s Point Drive, turning right onto Queen Street, going down Queen Street and ending on St. Anne’s Point Drive. Parade will be on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 5 p.m. Applications to be in the parade will be available shortly and we will be announcing this year’s theme. Stay tuned for further detail.

As per New Brunswick guidelines, all persons attending must show government issued photo id plus proof of full vaccination, ie that you have had both doses of an approved vaccine and at least 14 days has elapsed since you received your second dose.   We will have sanitization stations available and the hall will be sanitized after each use.  Masking is mandatory inside the building regardless of your vaccination status.  We do ask that if you have any of the symptoms associated with Covid 19 on any Sunday that out of respect for others, you not attend our Bingo on that day and get tested.  We are selling Hot Balls again and exchanging Bonanza cards

With New Brunswick entering the green phase, we have removed our Covid 19 restrictions.  We will still have sanitization stations available and the hall will be sanitized after each use.  However, masking is recommended but no longer mandatory.  We do ask that if you have any of the symptoms associated with Covid 19 that out of respect for other users of our building, you not attend and instead get tested.
