Terry Fox Run BBQ

We have been pleased to participate in the annual Terry Fox Run where we cook and serve hotdogs to the run participants

Harvest Community Gala

This is an annual dinner with steak, lobster tail and all the trimmings followed by a silent auction.  All funds raised go towards a worthwhile community organization.  Our first dinner held in 2024 raised funds for WIT – Women In Transition House.

Paulette Doak Memorial CF Bingo

On remembrance Day each year we hold a special Bingo where adults and even kids can play Bingo and all the money raised goes to funding the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.   What is Cystic Fibrosis?  Cystic Fibrosis or CF is a fatal disease that affects the respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems of children.  Individuals with CF must consume large quantities of enzymes in order to absorb enough nutrients from food to stay alive.  They also undergo chest therapy to loosen mucus which clogs the lungs.  A child born with CF used to have a life expectancy of age 4 but thankfully due to research, CF kids are living to become older adults.

Why not visit the CF Foundation webpage and find out more:     http://www.cysticfibrosis.ca/about-cf

Santa Claus Parade

We have hosted the annual Santa Claus Parade for the City of Fredericton since 1974.  The Parade alternates each year between the North and South sides of the river.  For the last number of years it has been a nighttime parade.  The parade is normally held the last Saturday in November.

MS Walk

In 2017 we celebrated our 40 year partnership with the MS Society who holds an annual run to raise money for research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.  Multiple Sclerosis or MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system affecting young adults.  Scars form on the myelin sheath which protects the brain and spinal cord.  When they form, they interrupt the normal flow of messages travelling from the brain to different parts of the body.  This may result in a loss of coordination, difficulty walking, slurred speech, disruption of vision and fatigue to name just some of the symptoms.  Find out more about MS and the walk held every May by visiting them at: http://mssoc.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=walk_homepage

Breakfasts/Spaghetti Suppers

We are deluged every year with donation requests from sports teams, etc. and unfortunately we are unable to support them all. We therefore provide the facilities and some of the man power including cooking for these sports teams and other groups to hold a breakfast or spaghetti supper to help raise funds for their cause.
