I joined Kinettes in January 1979 and a member of the Kin Club of Florenceville (NB). I am married to Kin Life Member Bill Burtt, who is a member of the Kinsmen Club of Florenceville (NB) since 1977. We have one daughter Kim, who has been a Kinette for 25 years and is, marries to a great guy Kin Jody Foster. I have two grandchildren, step-grandson who I am very proud of and he is 3year in the military and a granddaughter Hayley who is a ray of sunshine.
In 1982 I won the Zone Speak –off Award. I also had 32 years of perfect attendance, received my Life Membership in 1994. I have served 8 terms as deputy governor. I have also won the national Outstanding Deputy Governor Award eight times. Other awards include the Maple Leaf Award and the Diamond Award (now known as the Founder’s Award for Achievement) and, at the district level, the District Outstanding Deputy Governor Award, the District Bulletin Award 7 times and runner up at National She also won the Kinette History Book Award at Zone 11 years and 8 times on the District Level. I have attended 39 Spring Zones, 15 Fall Leadership Conferences, 24 District Convention and 15 National Conventions during my years in Kin. I have held every executive position at the club level several times. I was vice governor and Governor of District 7 in 2001-02 and National President in 2003-04.
My Goals this year is to keep continuing close contact and communication with clubs in all aspect of Kin, to continue promoting service goals and projects. To reengage in membership and retention as we move forward to continue growing in making District 7 Strong.
My pet projects are doing craft fairs, Christmas Miracle and of course decorating for any event the club may have. I enjoy playing bingo, cards, reading, playing on the computer. My Top priorities are family, friends and Kin.
